I’ve worked at Redwings since 2011 and absolutely love it! I first joined the charity as an apprentice through the local college and was lucky enough to be taken on as a full time member of staff as soon as I completed my course.

I love horses and always wanted to work for a rescue organisation so I was really pleased to be involved with Redwings while I was still studying. Putting what I learnt into practice is so rewarding and just watching the horses living such a natural life at the Sanctuary has helped me learn about and appreciate them even more.

Working alongside the vets and helping to care for recent rescues is a real privilege and makes me so glad I am part of a charity that does so much to help so many horses. I can’t imagine being anywhere else!

Redwings resident soft spot: I have so many favourites at Redwings, but if I had to pick one it would probably be Ascaban. I love big horses and at 16 hands high Ascaban is stunning and has such presence but he’s also a gentle giant and just loves fuss and attention!
