Horse welfare advice

Redwings is one of the largest horse keepers in the UK with over 1,500 horses and ponies in its care and 40 years’ experience of rescuing equines who have suffered neglect or cruelty.

We are members of the National Equine Welfare Council and work closely with colleagues in the animal welfare sector and the equestrian industry to champion good treatment of horses and ponies in the UK and beyond.

National Equine Welfare Council

Advice on rehoming your horse

We're currently running at full capacity and can only accept horses into the Sanctuary in exceptional circumstances or those found in welfare-compromised situations.

You may find a rescue centre that has space available for your horse via the National Equine Welfare Council.
