Quince's Story

Quince is a gentle soul who loves to be with his field companion enjoying a peaceful, quiet life. In the right setting, he is happy, easy to handle, and stands politely for both the vet and farrier. 

Although generally settled, Quince can be a little anxious at times, and when he is worried, he may become strong to lead. He will benefit from a confident, experienced handler and a small, quiet yard environment.

Quince is happy being stabled overnight or living out year-round. He has been respectful of fencing with us and is a sociable horse who often enjoys grooming with his companions. He has been turned out with geldings only, and he becomes stressed when left alone, so he will always need equine company.

Quince arrived at Redwings after he and several others were found grazing on land without permission. Now an older gentleman, he is looking for a Guardian who can offer him the comfortable, pampered life he truly deserves.
