Diamond's Story

Diamond is a very sweet little mare looking for a home as a non-ridden companion. She is a good girl to catch, lead and groom but she can be nervous at times so does take confidence from her handler.

She is happier living out but will come into a stable when needed. She gets on well with other ponies and has been turned out with mares and geldings.

Diamond will require regular dentals, and this can be discussed upon application.

Diamond is looking for an understanding and experienced Guardian who has the time and patience to help her settle and fulfil her role as a non-ridden companion.

Diamond was one of 35 feral ponies rescued in 2009 from a stretch of riverbank in North Norfolk after a request from the local RSPCA Inspector to assist. The ponies were found to be in varying body conditions, many of them were thin and emaciated. The ponies were kept on waterlogged land, with no grazing available, and littered with potentially dangerous rubbish and broken machinery. At Redwings they were all named after gemstones.
