Get ready for the Great Horses for Health Relay!

Redwings Horse Sanctuary has been named as one of the charities which will be supported by the brand-new Great Horses for Health Relay 2021.

Starting from the provisional date of 2^nd May (depending on Covid restrictions at the time), it is hoped thousands of participants will take part in the national riding relay which will end in the south of England in October.

The aim of the large-scale fundraising event is to celebrate the sheer joy horses have given us, especially during the challenging events of the past year.

In particular, organisers hope to raise awareness of road safety for riders, highlight how important horses are for mental health and wellbeing, and promote equine welfare and rescue organisations.

All participants are encouraged to raise sponsorship for their rides, which will be split between a number of equine welfare and equestrian charities, including Redwings!
