Redwings sponsors Animal Hero of the Year Award!

We are really excited to announce that Redwings are the proud sponsors of the brand new Animal Hero of the Year Award at this year's Stars of Norfolk and Waveney Awards!

The new category was inspired by our beloved Phoenix the foal (pictured), who received several nominations from the public last year but there was no suitable category for animals like him at the time.

Lynn Cutress, Chief Executive of Redwings, said: “Redwings is honoured to sponsor this award, particularly as it was inspired by Phoenix, the victim of a cruel arson attack, who we fought so hard to save.”

It's ten years since the awards began, which celebrate the acts of kindness, bravery, and selflessness that make the area so special.

Nominations are open until 16th October so if you have, or know of, a brave animal hero that you feel is deserving of receiving such an award we'd love you to nominate them!

Finalists will be announced on 19th November in a special supplement of the EDP, and all finalists will be invited to a special afternoon event at Norwich Cathedral on 1st December, where the winners will be announced.
