The wonderful winners of the Redwings Show 2021!

We were blown away by your support for the Redwings Show 2021 - we received over 400 entries!

From horses and ponies to cats and dogs, plus rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, sheep and a tortoise, we were delighted to see so many of our supporters’ furry (and not so furry) friends joining in with the fun.

The Show raised £1,250 – a terrific sum that will help us to provide care for our rescued horses, ponies and donkeys.

Since our first online show in 2020, our participants have raised over £4,000, a fantastic amount that has helped us hugely when our fundraising efforts were hit by the cancellation of community events due to the Covid pandemic. A huge thank you to everyone who has taken part so far – you are all #RedwingsAngels!

With such fantastic entries to this year’s Show, we relied on our panel of experienced judges to take on the tricky task of choosing the winners. Equestrian YouTube star This Esme judged the Happiest Hacker class (which with over 60 entries really was difficult to judge!) and Andrea Betteridge, founding director of the Traditional Gypsy Cob Association, was very impressed by the quality of entrants in her ‘Cracking Cob’ class.

Elsewhere, Dr Tamzin Furtado judged the Best Condition class and experienced judge Cathy Hyde cast her expert eye over the rest of the horse classes, choosing her most heavenly horses and perfect ponies!

Meanwhile, members of staff here at Redwings were thrilled to judge the fantastic photos entered in the Pet classes while our Retail Development Manager (and all-round expert on all things canine!) Gareth had his day made judging the doggy dressage entries which raised a huge smile with us all!
