If you've signed up to receive a free copy of the Redwings newsletter, then keep an eye out for our latest issue landing on your doorstep shortly!
Our Spring 2025 issue is jampacked with the latest news from across Redwings, including a special focus on our rescue work and how, thanks to your support, we are always ready to rescue.
This edition includes a special article, written by our Head of Welfare and Behaviour Nic de Brauwere, about how colleagues from across Redwings come together to coordinate large-scale rescues, and how the different teams involved bring unique expertise. Rescues are a huge team effort for everyone here at the Sanctuary and you, our supporters, are a key part of that team too.
In this issue you can also read all about:
• New arrival Cleo - another orphan foal who urgently needed our help. She is now firm friends with Ruby, and taken under the wing of foster-mum extraordinaire Cilla!
• The work our Behaviour team do trialling enrichment for our residents, including those on long-term box rest for veterinary reasons.
• Updates from our fireworks campaign, and our growing efforts to raise awareness of the impact of fireworks on horses.
• Some fantastic fundraisers and their amazing efforts to raise money for Redwings - including our two marathon runners Steph and Stephen!
• As well as updates from across Redwings, including your local visitor centre!

This edition's cover-star is Mason, who was rescued in 2023 from Gelligaer common in South Wales. Mason was a very weak orphaned foal, struggling with life on the common without his mum. Teams from across Redwings came together to bring him to safety and to help in his recovery.
In the video below you can meet our cover-star and hear from newsletter editor Jude, who shares why she thought he was the perfect fit for a newsletter shining a spotlight on our rescue work.
Our newsletter is sent out twice a year and is completely free to receive. If you don’t already receive a copy, you can sign up on the link below.
To accompany the newsletter, we've also got our latest gift catalogue full of spring treats! Take a look at our wonderful range, 'Inspired by' our Adoption Stars, gorgeous stationery and organisers from Lola Designs and toys and treats for your canine companion!
For our younger supporters, we once again bring you our combined Young Reds and Mini Reds magazine. This magazine is also sent out twice a year, and if you'd like your child to receive free copies, drop us an email to young@redwings.co.uk.
Happy reading!
