This Global Recycling Day on 18th March, why not take a look at some of the great ways you can recycle your unwanted items and help raise vital funds for Redwings at the same time?!
Donate your pre-loved tack
If you have tack that you no longer require you can donate it to us. Our residents at the Sanctuary can use it or we can sell it at our visitor centre tack sales or via our eBay shop to raise vital funds for our horses.
If you have some tack that you would like to donate please contact us at preloved@redwings.co.uk
Recycling for Good Causes convert your donated items, such as jewellery, tech gadgets, foreign currency and used stamps, into funds for a nominated charity of your choice. Since 2012 they have donated over £36,000 to Redwings making a huge difference to the ongoing care of our rescued residents!
If you’re looking to have a clear-out, then you might like to consider donating any items to them and choosing us as your nominated charity!
Stamps
Save the stamps that arrive on your letters and once you have an envelope full pop them in the post to us! We are then able to convert them into funds.
We can accept UK stamps, foreign stamps and rare stamps and it’s a really easy way to recycle and help Redwings at the same time.
If you have stamps you’d like to donate to us please send them to: Redwings Horse Sanctuary, Hapton, Norfolk. NR15 1SP
Recycle your ink cartridges and raise money for Redwings at the same time.
Simply visit The Recycling Factory website to check that your ink cartridges are eligible then sign up and choose Redwings as your chosen charity.
The Recycling Factory will send you a box to pop your cartridges into. Once the box is full, simply send it back to them and once received back and processed they will make a donation to us!
So far recycled ink cartridges have raised over £6,000 for Redwings!
If you have an unwanted car then donating it to Charity Car is really easy.
Simply visit their website, choose Redwings as your chosen charity, fill in a few details and Charity Car will then contact you to arrange a time that they can come and collect your car!
Since 2017 donated cars have raised over £4,000 for the Sanctuary which is a great amount to help support all our rescued residents!
If you don’t have anything to recycle, don’t worry!
You can still play your part this Global Recycling Day and support us at the same time by browsing the shelves of our eBay shop which are filled with many pre-loved items including ornaments, collectables and lots of second hand tack too!
Thank you #RedwingsAngels!
